This week we have been using the video at training to check out what we are doing wrong, (and in a few cases, right). There are few things I like more than watching myself play Volleyball. But apart from the ego trip, it is an excellent way to tackle your own game as a “third party” observer.
All you need to do to do this is to get a video camera, and a tripod, set it up at the back of the court an play away. Then you watch it back and pick the shit out of your partner for screwing up all the time. You can see all sorts of things that you aren’t usually aware of, like your partner tripping over his own feet behind you, while you are concentrating on blocking. It’s alos kind of funny watching the next court up the beach in the background of the shot, and all the random stuff going on up on the Corso.
