Some interesting controversies were reported from the QLD open, with light effecting play on the Saturday evening. Some games were stopped and had to be replayed the following morning. The most notable was the clash between Hinchley/Rohkamper and Palmer/Bawden. We are told that Hinchley/Rohkamper had 5 match points when the tournament director insisted that the game be stopped. Luckily Hinchley/Rohkamper came through with the win again, and then beat the same team to win the final.
