Eyes on the ball!

Ever wonder why Roger Federer is so incredibly good at tennis?

Well, there are obviously a number of factors here, but one of the standouts for me is the way he watches the ball. Most professional tennis players watch the ball to the racquet, or almost all the way to the racquet, but Federer eyeballs it right to the point of contact, and in the slow motion replays you will see his focus is so intense his eyes are still fixed on the point of contact after he hits the ball.

Next time you hit the court, ask yourself if you are watching the ball right onto your hand as you spike, and if you see the ball hit your forearms as you pass.

You’ll find it makes a world of difference :-)
