Thursday, July 12, 2007 20:31So, Josh and Shachty lost the final in Montreal to Emanuel Ricardo, 14 – 16 in the third. That is a fair effort in anyone’s book, but look at what we have this week!!! From a light event in Montreal last week, to a STACKED Grand Slam in Berlin!
And from a local point of view, let’s take a look at Pool M
- Rogers-Dalhausser – USA – Best results this year 5th, but won in Klagenfurt last year, (and we all know what these guys are like)
- Schacht-Slack – AUS – Best result 2nd last week!
- Geor-Gia – GRC – Best results this year 5th, had a 3rd last year
- Lochhead-Pitman – NZ – Best this year, 13th, last year 9th
The interesting thing here is that Kirk and Jason (Lochhead-Pitman) walked over Schacht Slack in Manly on the Australian domestic tour easily, and have always been quite convincing against them. However, head to head this year, Schacht Slack have won two from 2, and after last weeks performance, it has to be said, the Aussies are a good chance to get out of this pool.
And the chics? Well, I can’t see any Aussies in the draw, or in the entry list. not sure what’s going on. If anyone does, drop in a comment and let us know.
